The World Café New Logo Contest is now closed. We have received a number of extraordinary entries and the announcement of the contest winner and 5 finalists has been extended while we investigate the creative and legal viability of our top choices. Watch this space!
Inviting your image of the World Cafe. For over 15 years, the World Café Community Foundation and practitioners in the World Café community have worked with countless individuals, groups, corporations, and governments all over the world to enable conversations that matter, helping people on every continent host the important conversations about issues that matter most in our lives, communities, and organizations.
By enabling and encouraging individual and group interaction within “hospitable space”, our shared commitment to supporting collective wisdom and powerful communications has fueled the evolution of conversational leadership and helped to transform the worlds we live in.
In this critical moment, the World Café Community Foundation is making some significant changes to keep up with our growth, expand opportunities for engagement and ensure our sustainability in the years to come. We are embracing innovation in all our communications, and will be launching a new website to re-present ourselves in a way that symbolizes the essence of the World Cafe.
We’d like to invite you to be part of this shift! All contributions are welcome. Whether you're a professional designer, a student, graphic recorder, or simply someone who loves the World Cafe and has an artistic sensibility – if you have an idea for the new World Café logo, we’d like to see it.
Read on for more details, including Prizes, Design Specs, Entry Requirement and other Rules & Regulations…
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for an image that embodies the qualities of professionalism, simplicity, and boldness. The new logo should reflect the “identity” of the World Café – conversation, collaboration, connection, and innovation, and it should be classic (in the sense of timeless), and meaningful within a culturally aware global context.
Your design must have some continuity with the existing logo, in which the aspects with the most “equity” are the cup and the globe. That being said, we’re not limiting our search to a literal application of these two elements.
The new logo should also be a design that is easily translatable into multiple formats (special credit given for animated video footage), including different size differentials.
Who can enter:
The contest is open to interested parties of any age, from all countries, whatever your relationship is to the World Café. Students and professionals both are welcome, and people from outside the U.S. are especially encouraged to participate.
How many:
You are free to submit as many entries as you like. There is no cost for entry.
